The Agrodealer Capacity Building Programme was implemented under the Green Innovation Centres for the Agriculture and Food Sector (GIAE), a global initiative commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and running from 2015 to 2021. GIAE operated in several countries across Africa and Asia, including Malawi, to increase the incomes of small-scale farming enterprises, boosting rural employment, and improve regional food supply through agricultural innovations.
GIZ engaged EQUIP to support the programme by developing agrodealer training materials focused on the use of Inoculants, Aflasafe, and Mobile Money. The assignment involved creating practical and user-friendly training manuals, piloting the content in the field, and refining the materials based on feedback to ensure relevance and usability for agrodealers in Malawi.
Developed an Agro-dealer training manual on Inoculant, Aflasafe, and mobile money.
Facilitated Training of Trainers (ToT) sessions to strengthen the capacity of trainers in delivering the training to agrodealers.
Piloted the approach for scaling.
