Neighbourhood and District Economic Development

Equip Consulting was part of a group of  researchers working under the African Cities Research Consortium (ACRC) to  conduct a study on home-based micro-enterprises (HBMEs) in Lilongwe. The  research explored the economic and political contexts in which these  enterprises operate, the challenges they face, and their potential to grow  within the value chains they operate. The study aimed to generate insights  that can inform strategies to support HBMEs as key actors in urban economic  development.
